So I opened my own dry-cleaners in 1999. We specialized in providing the highest quality cleaning and the highest level of customer service. Providing that kind of quality and service isn’t easy, so when I was approached to sell my stores a few years ago I did. I took some time off to spend with my wife and two small children (ages 2 and 4 at the time). After two years (and at the urging of former customers) it was time to get back in the business.

At Koalaty Cleaners we don’t use perchloroethylene or “Perc”. Our solvent is Environmentally Friendly! Have your clothes cleaned at Koalaty and you’ll notice several things….NO Odor —NO Dye Fade, Soft, Luxurious Silks, Rayons & Linens. Your clothes come back smelling fresh, expertly pressed, with all the buttons/fasteners in place. Over-starched shirts? Fact: PROPER Dry-cleaning will make your clothes last longer and keep them looking new. - Discount cleaners that don’t use the proper detergents along with quality distilled solvent can’t remove all the soils that are picked up by garments. The soils that remain in the clothes act as an abrasive, causing the fibers to break down and wear out faster. Also, insects are attracted to soiled clothes and will cause further damage.

All garments are thoroughly inspected upon receipt for stains, broken or missing buttons, and items in the pockets are removed and returned. Minor repairs are performed as a complimentary service before cleaning. An on-site alterations specialist makes any necessary repairs or requested alterations.

As if outstanding service and garment care weren’t enough, Koalaty Cleaners is doing their share to help save the environment. Hangers and plastic/poly bags are recycled (customers are encouraged to return hangers for recycling), and only environmentally friendly solvent is used. About 80 percent of the dry-cleaners in the country are still using a solvent called “perc” (percholorethylene), which is a known carcinogen. Koalaty Cleaners can also Wet-Clean garments that have soils that would be best removed with water versus Dry-Cleaning We care about the environment. Even our delivery vans are super fuel-efficient.

We accurately describe each garment and attach a small barcode to identify each garment. Clean it using Environmentally Friendly solvents and detergents. We press the garments with brand new state of the art finishing equipment. We can clean any type of garment including leather garments, wedding gowns, Household items like comforters, sheets, furniture covers etc.

FREE VIP VALET SERVICE

We Create Free-time. Through our VIP Valet Service we will pickup and deliver your dry cleaning to your home or office. We take all the customers information, put it in our computer, and generate a special tag for a bag that will be used to put the dirty clothes in. We come by, pick up the bag, inspect, clean and press the garments and deliver them on their next scheduled day. So if you’re tired of running back and forth to the cleaners or looking for a suit or dress only to find that you forgot to pick it up? Koalaty is proud to offer free pickup and delivery to your home or office, for the ultimate in customer service and convenience. Customers can schedule pre-set days for route pickup and delivery, as well as request services when the need arises.

How can the Customer Help?

Here are some tips that can help customers get the most out of our Quality and Service:

• Bring all garments in for cleaning as soon as possible after staining occurs. Stains and soils left too long can be impossible to remove and will shorten the life of your garment.
• Discuss any stains with us. Be especially sure to point out light-colored or invisible spills, such as those from soft drinks, fruit juices, or white wine. It is also important to point out and identify any other beverage or food spillage so that the drycleaner can treat the stain prior to putting the garment through the dry-cleaning process.
• Keep perfumes, lotions, deodorants, antiperspirants, and other toiletries from coming into contact with your clothes. These products likely contain alcohol, which can affect some dyes. Allow them to dry before you dress.
• Protect your garments from excessive perspiration, especially silks. Perspiration left on fabric can cause many dyes to discolor.
• Have matching pieces cleaned together, including bedspread and drapes, so that any color loss will be uniform and the pieces will still match.
• Protect your garments from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or strong artificial light. Keep in mind that even normal lighting can affect some dyes.
• Don't press stained or soiled clothes. The heat may set some stains.
