Keller vs. Central Play for the Cure - Friday, October 2 On Friday, Oct. 2 Central and Keller High schools will put aside their rivalry for the 2nd annual Play for a Cure game and come together to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. During half time of the district game to be held at the Keller ISD athletic complex, a representative from Susan G. Komen for the Cure will accept a check from the Central and Keller cheerleaders.
Prior to the game, Keller and Central cheerleaders will be selling pink t-shirts in hopes to "Pink Out" the stands for the game in the name of breast cancer awareness. Both schools will be selling shirts as well as additional "pink" items to raise money for breast cancer research. The schools will also have pep rallies on Friday, October 2nd to get pumped up for the game and raise money for a great cause. It is the cheerleaders' hope that the more than 6,000 students and staff at these rival schools will come together during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to represent a great cause.
