Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Event at Keller Town Hall!
A two-lane snow tubing hill, Holly Jolly Light Parade, Santa’s Arrival and Santa’s Scurry 5K Run. Those and other holiday themed features are scheduled for Keller’s annual Holly Days at Keller Town Center on December 4th.
The evening of activities kick off at 6:00 pm with the lighting of the community Christmas tree. The 3rd Annual Holly Jolly Light Parade will move through Keller Town Hall Square at 6:30 pm. The parade route will start off at Country Brook Lane and go in front of Keller Town Hall and then onto Bear Creek Parkway and back to Country Brook Lane. Entry is free and forms are available on-line.
Other activities include local dance groups and choirs that will be featured on the front steps and back patio of Keller Town Hall. The Trinity Ballet Company will be performing “The Nutcracker” at 6:00 pm on the back patio and King and Roberts Dance troupe will be performing their Holiday routine on the front steps of Keller Town Hall starting at 7:00 pm. Other local groups will be performing throughout the festival at a third stage located at along Town Center Lane.
The Santa Scurry 5K Run/Walk will make its second appearance at Holly Days. Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for students. You can register the day of or visit, www.punchbuggyproductions.com.
Back again this year is the very popular two-land tubing snow hill. New this year to the snow hill is a height requirement; you must be taller than 42 inches to participate in the snow hill.
There will be plenty of other activities for everyone to enjoy. The Jingle Bell Zone features holiday arts and crafts and admission is one non-perishable food item to be donated to the Keller Community Storehouse. Bounce houses and slides are available free of charge. The shops at Keller Town Center will all be open during the event and will feature Holiday crafts, food and drink.
Inside Keller Town Hall, Tom Thumb will be selling Gingerbread House Decorating Kits for $12.99. Participants can purchase a house, decorate it and take it home with them. Participants will be given a Holly Days Gingerbread Decorating Certificate.
Starting in the morning portions of Keller Town Center Lane will be closed. From 5:00 – 11:00 pm portions of Bear Creek Parkway will be closed to through traffic. Parking at the event will be limited.
