Meet the Brown Family!
Ned and Heather Brown moved to the area in August of 2004. Heather wanted to be closer to her office and they wanted a great school district for their two children, Macy and Madison. They found Keller…they found home.
After working in the mortgage industry for many many years, Ned opened his own landscaping company, www.MyLawnGuy.net, right here in Keller, TX. Heather is a senior sales representative for a healthcare IT company. Since Heather’s job requires her to travel some, Ned has the flexibility in his schedule to make sure the kids get to and from school, and of course, to all of their activities.
Macy Brown is just finishing her freshman year at Keller High School. She played basketball on the freshman team, but her real passion is pole vaulting. During track season, she trains several hours a week with a private coach and she has excelled in the sport. Macy was able to compete this year on the varsity team as a freshman. She placed in several meets and she earned her high school letter jacket.
Madison Brown will be entering her sixth grade year at South Keller Intermediate this fall. This past school year, she was a part of the Junior Counselor’s Club. This club was made up of students interested in helping others. They put together welcome packages for new students and also collected goodies for the patrons of a local nursing home. Madison has been playing soccer since the first grade and is a great all around sport. She also enjoys playing the drums and has decided that she will pursue this in the school band. She is very excited about her upcoming sixth grade adventure.
In addition to their careers, Ned and Heather are very involved in their children’s education and extra curricular activities. Ned coached Macy’s youth basketball team and now coaches Madison’s KSA soccer team, The Keller Cougars. Heather, of course, is the Team Mom and helps by managing schedules, organizing uniforms and communicating with all the parents on a regular basis. Heather also enjoys her hobby, photography. They like to cook big pasta dinners for their friends. When the Browns are not working or involved in sports, they like to go camping and dirt bike riding as a family.
Their favorite little spot in Keller is Up N Smoke!
So when you see them doing one of the many activities they are involved in, say Hello to Our Family of The Month and let them know you heard about them on OurGreatCity.com!
