Empowering Seniors 2010 Event

10/01/2010 - 8:30am

Empowering Seniors 2010 at the First Baptist Church Euless Campus West facility from 8:30am - 1:30pm. This expo allowed us to provide educational information and free health screenings in a fun and casual environment to our seniors.

Due to the overwhelming response, we are enlarging this FREE EVENT and expanding the age range to include those age 50+. Throughout the day, attendees will enjoy complimentary health screenings from physicians and medical staff from our sponsoring hospitals and healthcare facilities. They will choose from 15 workshop sessions that will address important issues such as ID Theft and Fraud, Upcoming Medicare Changes, Health and Nutrition, Strategies for Maintaining Brain Health and Legal and Financial Issues. Star-Telegram columnist Dave Lieber will also train us to be a “Watchdog Nation.”

The expo will feature many wonderful businesses and agencies that serve our seniors and, of course, free food, entertainment and door prizes.

We will also have State-Certified Benefits Counselors on site to answer questions about Medicare and Medicaid. Attendees can also receive a free MRI Review for neck and back pain but you must reserve a space at 817-442-9300 x164. You will find detailed information about the event on our flyer below and on our website at www.empoweringseniors.com.

Due to the generosity of our sponsors and vendors, we are able to offer this event at no cost to our attendees but you must register online or by calling our office at 817-581-3600. A registration form has also been attached for your convenience.

You are encouraged to invite friends, family, clients and anyone else you care about. Free food, free screenings and free seminars that will address timely topics will make this a most special day for our community.
