National Charity League - Keller Chapter

Keller has kicked off a new Chapter of National Charity League, Inc.! They held their formation meeting on January 27, 2008 with 33 founding members present.

The National Charity League, Inc. was founded in 1947 in California and is a fast-growing national organization with 144 Chapters in 15 states. The mission of NCL, Inc. is to foster Mother-Daughter relationships in a Philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences. The philosophy is to get mothers and daughters working together to serve their community.

The NCL, Inc. Keller Chapter includes members who reside in KISD and thus far represent 6 different area schools. The diverse group is currently in open enrollment for the next year accepting membership from mothers whose daughters will be in 7th through 12th grade. Each member in NCL, Inc. has a role and must agree to serve League and Philanthropy hours and meet a financial commitment.

The Keller Chapter has approved several Philanthropies including:
The Community Store House, Christ’s Haven, Revive, and Safe Haven with hopes to add more Philanthropies as their Chapter grows. Meetings are held once a month during the school year.
