City of Keller Receives .72 Acres of New Parkland

At this past Tuesday's meeting, the City Council officially accepted a donation of new parkland totaling .72 acres at the northwest entry of Bear Creek Park from property owner, past Mayor and longtime resident Mr. Jack Brock.

The donated land will be an asset to the park entry located between the hike and bike trail and Big Bear Creek. This additional parcel will allow the City to realign the on-street crossing of the Big Bear Creek Greenbelt to create a safer pedestrian crossing. Additionally, the City can now remove some of the underbrush to make the park entry more visible and inviting to our residents. The City of Keller appreciates this land donation from Mr. Brock, which will provide us the opportunity to continue to enhance our award-winning park system.
