Night of Russian Culture and Art Event at Monart School of Art
Monart School of Art is hosting a “Night of Russian Culture and Art” event for students eight and older and their parents on Friday, November 20th from 7:00-9:00pm at their studio in Keller.
“Monart offers a world inclusive drawing curriculum and we are stepping out and offering students a sampling of the wealth of art that Russia offers,” said Lois Frazier, owner of Monart. “We will be doing a Russian art lesson, learning about a Russian fairytale, listening to Russian music, dance, language and poetry as students from the Russia School of Dallas perform. In addition, we will have special food, history, pottery, geography, artisans, home goods and a special travel package to Russia through Holland America Cruise Lines.”
“Savoy Vodka will be offering Vodka tasting to the adults in attendance,” said Frazier. “All these events will benefit the Toy Drive for Community Storehouse. Admission to the event is $5.00 or a new toy.”
This is a community event for Keller. The art lesson has limited seating and reservations must be made for this activity by calling 817-993-1374.
Sponsors include The City of Keller, CPAC, Russia School of Dallas, MeHD, La Petite Hammeau, Mud Pies, Monart School of Art, Iantosca Travel, Savoy Vodka and Community Storehouse.
“We hope with the success of this event that we can highlight another country and it’s culture in the Spring,” Frazier commented.
