Summer Camps at Monart - June 8th - August 21st
Monart School of Art will be having week-long drawing camps again this summer at the Monart Studio in Keller. All drawing camps are three hours each day Monday-Friday. Registration can be done on-line for all classes shown. Camps are for students ages 5-16. Please note some classes have age restrictions. Morning sessions are for students 5-8 and afternoons are for older students 8 and above. All classes are $225.00 each except for the computer course which is $250.00. Supplies are included.

- June 22-26: Claymation – Cartoons and Clay 1:00-4:00p 8 and above
- June 29-3 July: Star Wars 9:00a-12:00/1:00-4:00p
- July 6-10: Fantasy/Myths and Magic 1:00-4:00p 8 and above
- July 13-17: Under the Sea/Oceans 9:00a-12:00p/1:00-4:00p
- July 20-24: Claymation – Cartoons and Clay 1:00-4:00p 8 and above
- July 27-31: Big Cats 9:00a-12:00p/1:00-4:00p
- August 3-7: Digital Arts 1:00-4:00p 8 and above (Computer class)
- August 10-14: Animation/Cartooning 1:00-4:00p 8 and above
- August 17-21: In the Garden 9:00a-12:00/1:00-4:00p

The Monart drawing program has been around for over 20 years. Started by Mona Brookes, reknown art educator and author of “Drawing with Children”, this program teaches children to look at objects using the the 5 Elements of Shape. With this process, you are training your brain to work together cohesively, increasing focusing abilities and problem-solving skills. This academic-based instruction is endorsed by leading educators at Harvard University, Dept. of Education.
