Meet the Johnson Family!

The Johnson Family moved to Keller in August 2007, but their roots originate in TX circa 1998. At that time, both Michael and Allison were stationed at NAS Corpus Christi as Student Naval Aviators. Michael was a 1st LT in the Marine Corps and Allison was an Ensign in the Navy. They began a whirlwind courtship that led to a May 1999 wedding and subsequent co-location in San Diego, CA for the next 8 years.

Michael is originally from Chicago, IL and graduated from St Louis University. After college, Michael was able to realize his life long dream of flying by entering the United States Marine Corps. After initial Officer training and Naval Aviator training he earned his wings of gold in July 1999 and headed to San Diego to fly the F/A-18. Michael ended his Active Duty career in San Diego as an instructor in the F/A-18 in 2007. After leaving the Active component Michael joined the Reserves and became a pilot with VMFA-112, an F/A-18 squadron at NAS/JRB Fort Worth. Michael’s civilian employer is NetJets Aviation, where he is a First Officer on the Citation X.

Allison grew up in Louisville, KY and graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1997. She earned her wings of gold in June 1999 and went on to fly the SH-60B Seahawk, a combat helicopter specializing in anti-submarine warfare. In July 2006, Allison hung up her wings and became a work-at-home mom, building a home-based business with Silpada Designs and caring for sons Evan (5 ½) and Tyler (2 ½). She is currently taking courses and hopes to continue her professional career as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within the next few years.

When the Johnson’s decided to move back to Texas, Keller seemed like a great place to raise a family. Little did they know that family is what they would get, as they live in a cul-de-sac with 10 homes and soon-to-be 25 children. The Johnsons recently welcomed the 23rd “new kid on the block” Colin in December 2008.

If you drive through The Preserve in Hidden Lakes, you can’t miss us.  So when you see the Johnson's out with their family, say Hello to our Family of the Month and let them know you heard about them on OurGreatCity.com!
