City Hall Restaurant at Arthouse Keeps It’s Interior Design Local

Three local businesses have collaborated to create Keller’s first fine dining experience, City Hall. The restaurant is located in ArtHouse, Keller’s premium mixed-use development in Keller Town Center. Local interior designer, Sarah Pickard, local art dealers Mike and Kim Gerra and ArtHouse tenant art251, and the Keller Farmer’s Market have joined forces to create City Hall, an upscale, contemporary neighborhood restaurant featuring American fare from locally grown food.

Pickard Design Studio offers professional award-winning interior design services from sketch to completion for commercial developments, luxury residential projects, hotels, country clubs, and resorts. “ I believe that good design is about listening to clients,” notes Pickard. City Hall was designed as a casual grill where locals can have an incredible dining experience.

A color palette of brick red and warm browns was used as the predominant color scheme, as seen on the banquettes and rich leather furniture, and seating. Dark wood flooring, brick accent walls and eye-catching accent colors on the walls set the tone of the space. The open kitchen concept brings guests into the cooking and dining experience. Metallic accent tiles adorn the bar and chefs table. “ The theme and ambience of a space must be felt with all senses to be successful. This is what City Hall at ArtHouse is all about,” said Pickard.

Along with the warm ambience created by Pickard, the restaurant features original works from Texas artists. These include Dana Blanchard from Flower Mound and Michael Longhofer from Dallas. Michael’s oil on canvas titled “urban energy” depicts a contemporary cityscape done in his photo distortion technique. Perspective, depth and value are key components of this work, as well as the use of color.

Dana Blanchard’s abstract painting, “teratogenesis,” is a visual remnant of familiar experiences. Through the interplay of dynamic forms and subtly complex color, her painting is both commanding and compelling. art251 will feature Dana’s artwork at their upcoming show on September 9th.

City Hall formed a strategic partnership with the Keller Farmer’s Market to bring the freshest and best quality food onto the plates of City Hall diners. “ Having access to a local farmers market and the caliber of our market vendors creates an ideal situation for a new restaurant,” said City Hall chef Otto Borsich.

This trio of local talent has successfully integrated the tastes and traditions of this Texas region to bring an eclectic combination of artistic flair, high-energy urban ambience and a superb chef-driven menu, right in the heart of Keller.

On July 4th, City Hall Restaurant began their Sunday Jazz Brunch from 10am-2pm.  The new brunch features menu items items such as Corn Beef Hash with Poached Egg & Herb Hollandaise; French Toast Puff w/Spiced Banana Compote; Blue Corn Migas w/ Avocado, Salsa, Cheddar and Sour Cream.
