'How The West Was Run' 5K, 10K and 1-Mile Fun Run
Come dressed in your running gear for the 5th annual "How The West Was Run" 5K, 10K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010. Both the 5K and 10K are USATF Certified and the starting point for all distances is at Keller Town Hall, 1100 Bear Creek Parkway. The event is open to all ages and is presented by The Keller Pointe and Keller Parks and Recreation. Early registration guarantees a T-shirt (sizes based upon availability). Cost for the run varies by distance.

All proceeds will benefit The Keller Pointe Scholarship Fund that has been created to help individuals and families in our community with costs for programs, activities, and classes offered at The Pointe.
School Challenge
Help your school with the "How the West Was Run" Community Spirit Boot plus a Pool Party at The Keller Pointe! Schools with the highest overall number of students, teachers, parents, staff and faculty who register for the race win the School Challenge. Individual participants must register by Sunday, September 19 to be eligible.

The Keller Pointe Scholarship Program
The Keller Pointe's scholarship program is designed to provide qualifying individuals with financial assistance for their recreation program registration fees. The program's goal is to provide participation opportunities by reducing financial obstacles for Keller residents and Keller Pointe members who may not be able to afford enrollment in recreational programming at the facility.
Only a limited number of scholarships will be offered and individuals are encouraged to apply now. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, September 10.
