Inaugural Black River Resources Charity Golf Classic
Black River Resources, a Dallas, Texas-based energy development company, announced today the inaugural Black River Resources Charity Golf Classic on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Bridlewood Golf Club in Flower Mound, Texas. The event will benefit Keller, Texas-based Rocky Top Therapy Center’s “Horses for Heroes” program.
The four-person scramble tournament will kick-off at 1:30pm with a chance to play 18-holes of golf with local celebrities. It will feature a post-tournament awards dinner, live and silent auctions, raffles, and numerous contests, including putting and chipping and closest-to-the-pin. Cost per golfer is $150 each or $550 for a foursome.

Keller Lions Club Fair and Pageant - August 10-14, 2010
The annual Keller Lions Club Fair is set for August 10th -14th, 2010 at the club's fairgrounds on Keller Parkway at Cindy Street. The Fair kicks off with a community parade at 7pm Tuesday, August 14th at Bear Creek Intermediate School, 801 Bear Creek Parkway. An invitation is extended to all individuals, families, civic groups, clubs and businesses to join in the procession. Participants need to register between 6pm and 7pm at Bear Creek Intermediate School. The parade will travel west on Bear Creek, turn north on Elm Street, turn east on Vine Street, then turn north onto Cindy Street, then ending at the fairgrounds.
11th Annual Run in the Dark for Community Storehouse
The 11th Annual Run in the Dark on September 18, 2010 will be held at Keller Town Hall. Community Storehouse relies on funding support from individual donors, businesses, churches, and the Run in the Dark event. To fulfill our mission, we depend on people who want to make a difference in the lives of others by donating resources to help a neighbor in crisis. With your help, we rebuild lives and bring a sense of community and caring to those with whom we interact.
This is an event for the entire family. The Run in the Dark course is a certified 5K Course. The run begins on Bear Creek Parkway in front of Keller Town Hall (1100 Bear Creek Parkway, Keller, TX 76248) and goes East to the turn at Promontory Drive/Bear Creek Parkway, then returns to Keller Town Hall. The race will use a Chrono Track timing system (disposable D-Tags). Chips may be picked up on race day near registration with your race number. You must wear a chip to be timed and eligible for awards. Strollers and wagons are welcome.
