Texas Public Education.....

I recently attened a Keller Leadership trip to Austin last month to learn more about how our legislative process works and I found out some interesting information about our education statistics and the health of our education budget.

In a time when everyone is watching their dollars and prudently spending, I was pleased to learn directly from the Commission of Education for Texas, Robert Scott, his overall plan and direction for education spending in Texas. Mr. Scott was articulate and to the point, not only about the general budget, but how Texas would spend the new stimulous funds of 2 Billion. He said that every dollar mattered and that he wanted to put those funds in the areas where we would get the most out of them.
