Jim Thompson, who was elected to the Place 4 seat on the Keller City Council in May, attended the Newly Elected City  Officials’ Orientation on July 25-26 in Austin. The meeting provided the chance for newly elected city officials to voluntarily enhance their knowledge of city government and sharpen their leadership skills. In addition, the orientation offered an opportunity to visit with elected officials from across Texas to learn how other cities are coping with similar challenges.

The event offered sessions on topics such as open government, financial responsibilities, council/staff relations, ethical government and media relations. A special presentation on “The Importance of Building a Sense of Community” was provided by Dr. Gary McCaleb, a past president of the Texas Municipal League.

The orientation was sponsored by TML and the Association of Mayors, Councilmembers and Commissioners. The TML is a voluntary association of more than 1,100 Texas cities, including Keller.

Our Lunch and Dinner menu is filled with family favorites.  We can satisfy even the biggest appetites with a wide variety of Burgers, Sandwiches, Italian Dishes, Steaks and Seafood.   Kids are always welcome and we have all of their favorites on our Children’s Menu.  And don’t forget to ask about our “Pie of the Day” for desert!

Our Full Bar is open until midnight Sunday – Wednesday and open until 2 a.m. Thursday – Saturday.  Stop by to watch the game on our Big Screen and invite your friends and neighbors!
